Dr. Joo’s outstanding background in building paraprofessional networks to support marginalized populations will be crucial in advancing Aim 2’s efforts to develop robust, multi-pronged community entrenchment and Aim 3’s study of retention in a FQHC digital trial.
Hugo Aparicio MD, MPH

Dr. Aparicio’s research interests include the identification of lifestyle risk factors, biomarkers, neuroimaging markers and genetic influences associated with cerebrovascular diseases. He is particularly interested in the contributions of vascular risk factors to stroke, brain injury and aging, cognitive dysfunction and the development of Alzheimer’s disease and the influence of racial and ethnic disparities on these outcomes.
